St. Matthew’s Catholic Primary School opened in 1984 as a primary systemic school within the Archdiocese of Brisbane. The school is presently administered by the sisters of St. Joseph and staffed by lay teachers.
At St. Matthew’s we strive to create a happy, co-operative atmosphere among parents, pupils and staff which encourages the children towards an integration of faith and life. The school emphasizes the central place of Jesus in its life and implements structures that enable pupils to experience Gospel values and their Catholic Christian heritage.
At St. Matthew’s we aim to develop in our pupils self-discipline based upon Christian principles.
Together with the religious and moral formation of our pupils, St. Matthew’s endeavours to give a sound intellectual, cultural and human formation by providing the best possible staff, curricula and facilities. The school site is large and attractive with children taking great pride in their surroundings.
Enrolment information is available from the school office.
